There is a little known clan of Fae called the Elementals. These are not elemental spirits
like the Dryad and Nyad, yet they are similar. They are magic users, like witches, yet their
magic is related only to their element.
|
Each Elemental Fae is aligned with an element, though their realm is much wider than the four
cardninal elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. They vary in appearance and stature, yet they
all have one common and distinctive marking - the pattern striping on their legs and feet.
|
Fire can not burn without oxygen. Water cannot exist without oxygen. Earth cannot give life
without oxygen. Air by itself is nothing, though. They all need each other to be the whole.
Air allows Life. Earth gives birth to Life. Water nourishes Life. Fire brings warmth and spirit
to Life. Just as we are all needed for the whole, so are all things in the universe.
All Elements are equal in the end, as are all people, all beings.

we can see and understand. Loss hurts and haunts, and only belief or time can polish off the
sharp and painful edges.

through the rest of the night. "After all", he said, "full grown cats don't need as much
sleep as Pookling children, you know. Besides, cats are nocturnal and I am anxious to be home
and safe."

Shadows crossing her dreams brought her fully awake in an instant. She sat up only to realize
that the nightmare was real. She froze on the spot, heart beating wildly, eyes open wide. There was a cobra in her room!
From the corner of her eye she caught a stealthy movement. Her heart leapt into her throat.
Was she more afraid for her self or her beloved cat?

She had to wait, so she showed patience. When they finally called her, though, she threw open the
heavy guilded door and poised on the threshold. Every eye was on her now, and not the "king" she
had come to see.
